Radiation Oncology plays an increasingly important role in the management of cancer in China. As we know, the technology in China has been significantly improved in recent years. To contribute more to education efforts for practical radiation oncology in China, SANTRO will continue to organize “SANTRO School of Radiation Oncology”  during the symposium. The purpose of this school is to provide a hands-on teaching experience for Chinese Radiation Oncologists and physicists for the target delineation: treatment design and implementation, clinical trial design and credentialing process, and quality assurance of cutting edge technology such as IGRT, IMRT, SBRT, VMAT etc.

Teaching Topics:
1. Radiation Treatment Target Delineation, Treatment and Implementation:
     1) Lung Cancer
     2) Head/Neck Cancer
     3) GI

2. Clinical Trial Design, Credentialing Process, and Quality Control

Each topic will have separate class rooms and last for up to three hours. Each lecture will be divided into two parts: didactic lecture and hand-on demonstration/questions.
